Shahbaz asks nation to help flood victims unitedly
ISLAMABAD, Aug 14: Federal Minister for Minorities Affair Shahbaz Bhatti on Saturday said that the country needs same spirit of the people to help flood victims which their forefathers did during creation of Pakistan.Talking to APP here on Saturday the minister said that Pakistan was established on a idealogy and today it is time to revive the teachings of the Quaid-e-Azam who mobilized the nation to work for a single cause forgetting all mutual differences.
The minister said that the government and the people of Pakistan were determined to confront these challenges with courage and urged the nation to come forward and contribute in the relief activities.
He said that it wass a big calamity and the entire nation needed to stand united.
Commenting on the Prime Minister’s address on the Independence Day, chairperson of National Assembly Standing Committee on Social Welfare Rubina Qaimkhawani said that it was time to make chain of all the provinces and utilize all resources to help the flood victims.
She said that the nation was facing a crisis.
Rubina said that the government alone could not handle such a big calamity and the entire nation needed to stand united to face this challenge.
