“The outcome of this training will be made part of the G-B Education Policy,” Secretary Education Syed Hadi told members of the G-B Teachers Association.

Rs800 million are being allocated for the trainings of teachers, lecturers and professors in national and foreign institutions, he said. The official said that work was in progress to constitute an independent text book board and examination board for G-B.

The secretary said that colleges in G-B are facing shortage of lecturers but said the deficiency will be overcome in the next two years. “In this connection about 35 lecturer posts will soon be filled,” he said, adding that the issue of promotions for teachers and professors is being addressed on a priority basis. “We are separating teaching from management in education system for better delivery of education in institutions,” he added. To Chief Minister, Governor, and Education Minster: Gilgit Baltistan
Especially: Secretary Education Gilgit Baltistan Syed Hadi

If you put in 800 million or 80 cores, you could set up top quality 80 TCF schools, in every major town of G-B that give top quality education, to G-B children, and also provide teacher training for free…
So don’t waste Gilgit Baltistan Education budget money on UNECEF, and instead give to TCF The Citizens Foundation http://www.thecitizensfoundation.org/

    • Today TCF, which started in 1995, has 730 purpose-built school units nationwide with an impressive enrollment of 102,000 students. The organization emphasizes on career guidance, a modern balanced curriculum and extra-curricular activities to empower its students to compete in all walks of life. Also TCF has a 100% pass rate for its students compared to Gov schools that have less than 50% pass, and spends less than half per student as per Gov, while achieving this 100% pass result.
