Proposal to change the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad, Peshawar (Pakistan News online) The proposal to change the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) is being highlight amid the return of 27th constitutional amendment, this was presented by the Awami National Party (ANP).

According to the details, in the joint meeting of the Parliament’s Law and Justice Committee, three more proposals were presented by the government coalition parties, ANP said that Khyber is a district and the district name can’nt be written with province.

On the other hand, the Joint Parliamentary Committee approved the provision for establishment of constitutional courts, according to which if the case is not pursued for one year, it will be considered settled.

On the other hand, it was agreed to increase the seats of Baluchistan Assembly but the number of seats to be increased is yet to be discussed.
