Indian army tank drowned in canal during exercise, one soldier killed
New Delhi (Pakistan News) an Indian army tank drowned in the Indira Gandhi Canal in Sri Ganganagar district of the Indian state of Rajasthan, killing one soldier.
According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday morning during a routine military exercise. There were two soldiers in the tank, one of whom managed to get out, while the other was trapped inside and lost his life.
According to the police, the body of the dead soldier was pulled out after several hours of operation.
During the exercise, armored vehicles and tanks were practicing crossing the canal when one of the tanks got stuck in the middle and started sinking, told sources.
As soon as the information was received, the police, State Disaster Response Force and Civil Defense teams reached the spot and managed to pull out the body after several hours of effort.
