Gujranwala (Pakistan News) Seven workers, including two party officials, were arrested for hoisting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s picture and shouting slogans at a Walima party and a case of breach of peace was also registered.
According to the details, the Walima party was held at a local marquee by Malik Hassan, brother of PTI Rahwali leader Zahid Malik, in which relatives, relatives, PTI workers, MPAOs and officials of the area also attended.
On this occasion, when a worker displayed a tall picture of Imran Khan, the emotions of the workers present there could not be controlled and they started shouting slogans.
As soon as the ceremony ended, the Cantt Police started the operation and by late night, arrested 7 workers, including 2 party officials, and registered a case of breach of peace.
Those arrested include Senior Deputy Tehsil President Tariq Mahmood Warraich, General Secretary Cantt Mirza Imran Baig, the groom’s brother, uncle Zahid Malik, Iftikhar Ahmed Danja, Karim Hassan Bhinder, Ayaz Mehar and Zeeshan Iqbal.
