According to news agency INP, Jalal Salahuddin & Production has given an estimate of Rs 300 million for the celebrations. The opening ceremony of Basant will be held at the historic Royal Fort in Lahore and the closing ceremony at Asif Jah’s Haveli. More than 500 people will be arranged for both these events.

Meanwhile, preparations for Basant are in full swing in Lahore. Speedo and green electric buses have also been decorated with cultural colors, while steps have also been completed to provide free travel facilities during the three days of Basant from February 6 to 8.
In this regard, the Punjab Transport Minister says that people will be able to travel free of charge in Metro, Orange Line, Speedo and electric buses. Conditional permission has been given to bring kite flying equipment from outside the boundaries of Lahore district and Punjab for Basant, and there is a zero tolerance policy on the use of metal strings and prohibited chemicals.
