The police and medical report revealed that Jitendra did not commit suicide by hanging himself, but someone first strangled him to death and then hung him from the window.
The investigation revealed that the husband Jitendra had allegedly withdrawn Rs 20,000 from Jyoti’s bank account and gambled it away online. The two had often had arguments over this issue, and in the last days of January, a similar bloody argument also proved fatal.
That night, when wife Jyoti asked about the money, the matter escalated. When the argument intensified, Jyoti called her parents and brother home. In her statement to the police, Jyoti said that her father and brother held her husband Jitendra’s arms and legs while I strangled him.
