According to the district administration, all schools and offices in Islamabad will remain closed on Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10, while essential service institutions will continue to function.

According to the notification, the holiday will not apply to institutions providing essential services, MCI, CDA, Islamabad Police and administration offices will remain open.
Similarly, there will be no holiday in IESCO, SNGPL and hospitals. The Islamabad administration has sent a formal notification of the holiday to all relevant departments.
