Hadiqa Kiani Leads Major Flood Relief Drive with Alkhidmat Foundation

Multan (Pakistan News) Famous singer and humanitarian Hadiqa Kiani, in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation, distributed flood relief packages among 1,000 affected families in Jalalpur Pirwala and Shujabad.

According to details, The packages included dry ration, bedding, quilts, water coolers, mosquito nets, floor mats, utensils and other household essentials, while 500 children were also provided with stationery, toys and gift packs.

A total of 600 families in Jalalpur Pirwala and 400 families in Shujabad benefitted from the initiative. During the distribution, Kiani interacted with women and children to understand their post-flood challenges.

The ceremony was attended by Syed Abdul Qadir, President Alkhidmat Multan; Shoaib Hashmi, Senior Manager Media Relations; Adeel Kareem Bhatti, President Alkhidmat Jalalpur Pirwala; Dr Zeeshan Hassan Wains, President Alkhidmat Shujabad; along with volunteers, local notables and affected families.

Speaking on the occasion, Kiani expressed admiration for Alkhidmat’s organised disaster response and announced her intention to work with the organisation to establish Disaster Management Centres in both regions, emphasising the need for preparedness for future calamities.

Syed Abdul Qadir thanked her for her support, stating that Alkhidmat had been engaged in rescue and relief operations since the onset of the floods and was now moving towards rehabilitation.

Shoaib Hashmi added that their mission extended beyond relief to complete recovery, announcing an upcoming farmer rehabilitation programme, while Dr Wains highlighted the positive impact of artists engaging in social service. Later, Kiani visited Basti Bhopat Wala to express solidarity with affected families and encouraged youth to join Alkhidmat’s skill-based initiatives like ‘Bano Qabil’ to build a better future.
