Sher Afzal Marwat Responds to Khawaja Saad Rafique’s Statement

Islamabad (Pakistan News online) Following PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique’s statement about expelling Sher Afzal Marwat from PTI and warning the newly elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a response has come from the PTI MNA Mr.Marwat himself, in which he confirmed the former federal minister’s claims.

Taking to the microblogging site, Sher Afzal Marwat wrote that “Khawaja Saad Rafique! what you wrote about me is based on truth, and I commend you for your honesty. Over the past three years, I have been expelled 3 times from the party, and each time I was reinstated due to the strong reaction from party workers.

He further said that “These were not just phases, they were lessons, the kind that many politicians take three decades to learn, but I learned them in 3 years. However, there is a bitter truth as well, when a coordinated character assassination campaign was run against me on social media to weaken the workers’ love and commitment towards me, it left a wound in my heart, one I could neither forget nor forgive. I strongly believe that this rift will remain a permanent barrier to my rejoining PTI.

“I also received a message from the leadership that Khan Sahib (Imran Khan) wants me back in the party but I can no longer move forward under the looming possibility of being expelled for a fourth time. I have decided that from now on, my journey will be guided by wisdom, prudence, and insight, not emotions and slogans, he added.

Sher Afzal Marwat further stated that”In your (Saad Rafique’s) party (PML-N), there are only a few individuals whom I hold in genuine respect, and you are at the top of that list. As for my own path, I have now left it in the hands of fate.”
