Man allegedly committed suicide after dreaming of setting himself on fire

Karachi (Pakistan News) A man in Orangi Town allegedly committed suicide by pouring kerosene oil on ‎himself after dreaming of setting himself on fire.‎

According to reports by several Pakistani media outlets, a person was seriously injured in a fire at a ‎house near Qasba More Shahzad Cinema Street No. 5 in Orangi Town on the intervening night of ‎Saturday and Sunday. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital in a critical condition by a Cheepa ambulance.‎

The citizen was identified as 60-year-old Allah Rakha son of Khushi Muhammad, who died during ‎treatment.‎

SHO Yousuf Mehr told that the initial investigation revealed, the incident was a case of self-‎immolation. The deceased had poured kerosene on his body and set it on fire, he was from Rawalpindi ‎and had come to his sister-in-law’s house 10 days ago. ‎

The sister-in-law of the deceased told the police that Allah Rakha had told her that he had been ‎dreaming for 3 days that he had poured oil on himself and set it on fire, due to which he was worried. ‎However, on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, he poured oil on his body and set himself ‎on fire.‎

The police handed over the body to the heirs after carrying out the necessary procedures; however, ‎further investigation is underway.‎
