China introduces new plan to increase its population
Beijing (Pakistan News) The world’s second-largest economy, China, which has been following a one-child policy for long time, has introduced a new plan to increase its population.
According to the details, China, worried about the population decline, is making efforts to increase its country’s population, under which the Chinese people will now pay a 13 percent sales tax on contraceptives and other items to discourage citizens who are following family planning , while childcare services being exempted.
After this plan, the one-child birth ban in China, which has been in effect since 1994, has now ended. The plan also exempts wedding-related services and elderly care from value-added tax (VAT), part of a broader effort that includes extending parental leave and issuing cash.
In addition, Beijing is making a concerted effort to encourage more young Chinese people to get married and couples to have children.
