Lahore (Pakistan News) a video and conversation of a character is going viral on the internet, the woman in the video calls him umairi and internet users seem to be searching for umairi viral video, now the Crime Control Deptt (CCD) ‘s stance on this case has also came into limelight.
SP CCD Aftab Phularwan said during an interview with urdu point that the hype created after viral video on social media is regrettable, it is being exposed in every way, this is Consensual adultery and not rape, so this is not the mandate of CCD.
He further stated that In umairi case, baseless news are being spread just to get cheap fame, increase likes and get views that a bullet fired or died in encounter, CCD has no intention of taking up this case.
The officer further said that the CCD conducted a preliminary inquiry and it was proved that this was not a case of rape or sexual assault, the concerned police will look into the matter.
Responding a question, he clarified that all the stories are baseless, this case is not a CCD case, due to these fake and baseless stories, the NCCIA can also arrest the keyboard warriors who spread rumors, if such irresponsible people try to use the name of the CCD , this falls under the category of a clear crime, a case can be filed against them for spreading sensation.
