According to details, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, giving a golden gift to Punjab, has prepared a revolutionary package to maintain the centuries-old tradition of the joint family system and promote social development and harmony.
Maryam Nawaz has expanded the scope of the revolutionary program Apni Chhat Apna Ghar and now extended it to joint families, under which joint families of the province will be provided interest-free and easy installment loans for the expansion of their homes. The Punjab Chief Minister has also approved the issuance of interest-free loans for the expansion of homes.
According to News agency INP, The Chief Minister of Punjab has set a big target of building 160,000 houses by June 2026. Along with this, land will also be provided to the citizens of Punjab who do not have their own land and interest-free and easy loans will be given to build houses. In this regard Maryam Nawaz has approved the allotment of 1534 plots under Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar project.
In the first phase, 194 plots will be given in Jhelum, 129 in Kasur, 84 in Faisalabad and 59 in Lodhran through lottery. Chief Minister has also issued instructions for taking steps to conduct the lottery of Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar plots as soon as possible. She also ordered steps to increase funds for the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar scheme.
In this regard, a special meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, in which the Secretary Housing and DG PHATA gave a detailed briefing. It was informed in the briefing that the number of registered users of Apni Chat Apna Ghar is 18 lakh 80 thousand 81, while the number of applicants is 10 lakh 66 thousand 559. Under the Apni Chat Apna Ghar scheme, 67 thousand 197 houses have been settled across Punjab, while 53 thousand 843 houses are under construction.
According to the briefing, historic loans worth Rs 164 billion 66 crore have been issued under Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar and the recovery rate under this program is 99 percent. CM has also directed to pay the second installment under Apni Chat Apna Ghar as soon as possible.
Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also issued instructions to formulate a policy in the event of the death of Apni Chat Apna Ghar users so that the affected families can be provided with facilities.
