Holidays in Pakistan 2026, details revealed

Islamabad (Pakistan News) government servants’ wants to know about yearly holidays so can make plan to enjoy and here are the details of possibly holidays in Pakistan 2026.

According to details, the federal government has released the annual public and optional holiday calendar, according to which there will be 11 public holidays and 23 optional holidays in current year.

After January 1, banks will be closed on February 18 and July 1. February 5 will be Kashmir Day, March 23 will be Pakistan Day.

According to the announcement, the expected holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Mar 21,22 and 23 though it depends on shawal moon, May 1 will be Labor Day and May 28 will also be an official holiday on Youm-e-Takbir. Eid-ul-Azha holidays will be on May 27,28,29 possibly.

This year, June 24 and 25 will be the 9th and 10th of Muharram, while August 14 will be a holiday for Independence Day, August 25 will be Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him), and November 9 will be Iqbal Day.

December 25 will be a public holiday across the country on Quaid-e-Azam Day. December 26 will also be a holiday for the Christian community.
