Pakistani citizens can use e Visa for UK
Islamabad (Pakistan News) The British High Commission in Islamabad has announced that Pakistani citizens will now be able to benefit from the new eVisa system for UK visit visas. Under this new system, instead of affixing a visa sticker on the passport, applicants will be provided with a digital confirmation via email.

According to the announcement, the application process will continue to be online, while it will be mandatory to visit the Visa Application Centre for biometrics. Successful candidates will have a digital record of their immigration status available through an online account, after which they will not need to visit the centre again to collect their passport.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott says that this move will facilitate Pakistanis visiting the UK for tourism, family visits and business activities and will make the application process more convenient.
According to officials, there has been no change in the visa processing time, eligibility criteria or conditions, applicants have been instructed to avoid visa agents and submit their applications only through the official website.
It should be noted that the eVisa system was introduced last year for student and work visa holders, while existing sticker visas will continue to be effective.
