Man allegedly committed suicide after dreaming of setting himself on fire
Karachi (Pakistan News) A man in Orangi Town allegedly committed suicide by pouring kerosene oil on himself after dreaming of setting himself on fire.
According to reports by several Pakistani media outlets, a person was seriously injured in a fire at a house near Qasba More Shahzad Cinema Street No. 5 in Orangi Town on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital in a critical condition by a Cheepa ambulance.
The citizen was identified as 60-year-old Allah Rakha son of Khushi Muhammad, who died during treatment.
SHO Yousuf Mehr told that the initial investigation revealed, the incident was a case of self-immolation. The deceased had poured kerosene on his body and set it on fire, he was from Rawalpindi and had come to his sister-in-law’s house 10 days ago.
The sister-in-law of the deceased told the police that Allah Rakha had told her that he had been dreaming for 3 days that he had poured oil on himself and set it on fire, due to which he was worried. However, on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, he poured oil on his body and set himself on fire.
The police handed over the body to the heirs after carrying out the necessary procedures; however, further investigation is underway.
