Lahore, 32 including groom arrested for dance party, procession cancelled
Lahore (Pakistan News) Chohang Police has arrested 32 accused including groom and dancers who arranged a dance party.
According to Express News, Chohang police took action against those who arranged a dance party by blocking the road at the wedding function, in which 32 accused including the groom and she males were arrested.
SHO Chohang Muhammad Raza said that a case has been registered against the groom and other accused under the Loudspeaker Act for violation, the procession of groom Abu Bakr was cancelled.
According to the SHO, a case of the incident has been registered under the Marriage and Sound Act and other sections, in which Shahzeb, Ramzan, Ahmed, etc., and other accused have been named.
According to SP Sadar Division, the accused were blocking the road and engaging in obscene acts with transgenders. Cash worth Rs 62,500 was also recovered from the wedding function, while the wedding ceremony was canceled after the raid.
DIG Operations said that those violating the Sound Act do not deserve any concession and strict legal action will be taken against them.
