Government holiday announced on Thursday, February 5

Islamabad (Pakistan News) The government has declared the first Thursday of next month, February 5, as a government holiday in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day.

According to the details, on February 5, tribute will be paid to the ongoing freedom struggle and great sacrifices of the Kashmiri people against Indian occupation and atrocities, and a public holiday will be observed across the country in this regard.

Rallies, walks, seminars and special prayer events will be organized across the country, while human chains will also be formed at different places as an expression of national solidarity.

Special programs will be broadcast on television and radio on this occasion, in which detailed light will be shed on the historical background of the Kashmir issue and the current situation.

Strict security arrangements are likely to be made in major cities to ensure the peaceful conduct of Kashmir Solidarity Day, while law enforcement agencies will remain fully alert during rallies and public gatherings.

Political and religious leaders will address various events and reiterate their commitment that the Kashmir issue must be resolved in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
