Sadaqah al Fitr, Fidyah Set for Ramadan 2026 in UAE
Dubai (Pakistan News dot com dot pk) The Fatwa Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set the official amounts of Sadaqah al Fitr, Fidyah and other Sharia payments for Ramadan 2026.
According to details these decisions were issued after a field price study conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism. A spokesman for the Fatwa Council said that it is obligatory for every Muslim man and woman to pay Sadaqah al Fitr. Zakat ul Fitr is given to the deserving during Ramadan and can be paid during Ramadan even before the Eid ul Fitr 2026 prayer.

According to the details, the council’s announcement states that the Sadaqah al-Fitr has been set at 2.5 kg of rice per person or its cash value of 25 dirhams.

For those who cannot fast, the fidya has been set at 3.25 kg of wheat or 20 dirhams per day for a poor person, while the same amount will be applicable in the case of feeding the fidya.
Fidya for missed fasts
The announcement stated that the fidya for intentionally breaking the fast of Ramadan is set at 1,200 dirhams, which will be distributed among 60 deserving people. The fidya for committing a prohibited act during Hajj or Umrah will be 120 dirhams, which will be given to six deserving people.
The minimum price of an iftar meal has also been set at 20 dirhams.
