Kuwait announces 4 consecutive holidays
Kuwait City (Pakistan News online) The Kuwaiti government has announced a 2-day public holiday on the occasion of National Day and Independence Day, as a result of this decision, government employees will get 4 consecutive days off.
According to private TV channel 24 News, the announcement was made after the weekly meeting of the Kuwaiti cabinet, which was chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sabah. This holiday will be on Wednesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 26. During these two days, work will be completely suspended in all government ministries, institutions, educational institutions and government agencies.
Kuwait usually has weekly holidays on Fridays and Saturdays, so along with the holidays on February 25 and 26, government employees will get a four-day long holiday including Friday, Saturday and work will resume from Sunday, March 1.
Some institutions with special operational needs, such as security, health and other essential services, will manage their holidays to maintain the public interest and ensure that essential services are not disrupted.
It’s important to mention here that these holidays are being observed to commemorate Kuwait’s 65th National Day and 35th Independence Day, which are of great importance in the country’s history.
