Europe Day Celebrated in Riyadh with a Spectacular Classical Music Showcase
Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Riyadh – A vibrant musical evening lit up the Saudi capital as Riyadh celebrated Europe Day with a distinguished performance by acclaimed Polish pianist Wojciech Waleczek, who mesmerized the audience with his mastery of classical piano compositions.
Hosted by the European Union Delegation at the Cultural Palace in the Diplomatic Quarter, the event highlighted the EU’s commitment to strengthening cultural ties in Saudi Arabia. Diplomats, prominent figures from the fine arts community and music enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds attended the celebration.
Waleczek performed a curated selection of melodies composed by renowned musicians from all 27 EU member states, earning enthusiastic applause and admiration from the audience.
EU Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Christophe Farnaud emphasized that culture serves as a powerful bridge between nations, fostering understanding and connection among people. He added that such cultural initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia’s dedication under Vision 2030 to advancing music and the broader landscape of fine arts.
