Mumbai (Pakistan News) In India, in-laws allegedly brutally killed their daughter-in-law ( Bride ) for not giving her a gold chain in marriage.

According to Indian media, 23-year-old Sanju Kumari was married to a man named Vinod Pal this month. Sanju’s parents got their daughter married with more pomp than they could afford. They also gave Rs 4 lakh in cash, a motorcycle, a refrigerator, furniture, and utensils as dowry. On the wedding day, the groom’s family also demanded a gold chain in dowry, to which Sanju’s family promised to give it soon.

Sanju’s brother Shivam said that my sister was taunted by her in-laws for getting married with pomp but could not give her a gold chain. He contacted his brother-in-law Vinod and asked her to come to Sanju’s house, to which Sanju’s mother-in-law snatched the phone and said that now your sister will not come alive, her body will be found. He heard his sister’s screams on the phone call and then the call was disconnected.

The family alleges that Sanju was strangled to death and his last rites were performed to destroy all evidence. According to media reports, Sanju’s family filed a complaint with the police against the in-laws, after which the police arrested the mother-in-law, while raids are being conducted to arrest more accused named in the case.

During the investigation, mother-in-law Sumitra Devi claimed that there was a dispute over the gold chain, after which Sanju committed suicide.
