Lahore (Pakistan News Online) Famous Pakistani actor Faisal Qureshi has made a significant claim regarding the underlying reason for the attempts to ban Pakistani dramas in India.
Speaking on the matter recently, Faisal Qureshi stated that the Indian government was apprehensive about the growing popularity of Pakistani dramas and the positive image of Pakistan they projected.
According to the actor, these dramas revealed to the Indian public that ordinary, educated, and civilized people also live in Pakistan; this is why the government attempted to curb the influence of these shows.
Faisal Qureshi claimed that despite the bans, Indian viewers did not stop watching Pakistani dramas but instead began using VPNs. Due to sustained public interest, the Indian government was ultimately forced to back down from its stance.
