RJ Mehwish has broken his silence on Instagram, calling it a “trivial matter”. According to Indian media, in an interview, Mehwish said that whatever situation happened between her and Chahal is just a result of normal differences between friends and it is being unnecessarily exaggerated.
It may be recalled that this matter came to light in January when a paparazzi account reported that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram, although they used to follow each other earlier.
After this news, speculations started on social media regarding the relationship between the two. RJ Mehwish and Yuzvendra Chahal’s friendship has been in the news for a long time, especially after the cricketer’s divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma in 2025.
During this time, the two were seen together on several occasions, after which rumors of a romantic relationship also gained momentum. However, both have always rejected these rumors and said that they are just good friends.
Chahal had also denied these news in a podcast, saying that there is no romantic relationship between them and people speculate at their own will. He also said that due to public attention and rumors, Mehwish faced unnecessary criticism, which was painful for her.
