Identity of Woman Found Dead Behind Sea View Clock Tower Confirmed
Karachi (Pakistan News online) The body of the woman found behind the Sea View Clock Tower has been identified as Sehrish Hasan Raza Shah, a resident of Mujahid Nagar, Sheikhupura, Punjab.
According to private TV channel Express News, on Wednesday, an unidentified drowned woman’s body was discovered in the Darakhshan police jurisdiction near the Sea View Clock Tower. The body was taken into police custody and later shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal procedures.
Initially, identification was not possible, so the police sent the woman’s fingerprints to NADRA. The next day, the woman was identified as 36-year-old Sehrish Hasan Raza Shah, daughter of Hasan Raza Shah.
According to PS Darakhshan Police, the woman’s address in records points to Mujahid Nagar, Sheikhupura. Police attempted to contact all phone numbers linked to her record, but all were found switched off. NADRA has now been requested to provide her family tree for further investigation.
Police officials stated that since the discovery of Sehrish’s body, no one has come forward or contacted the authorities. It is still unclear where she was residing in Karachi, and efforts are ongoing to gather more information.
Darakhshan Police added that no evidence of foul play or murder has been found so far. The woman appears to have died by drowning, although further investigation into the incident is still underway.
