Ankara (Pakistan News) Libyan Army Chief dies in plane crash in Turkey along with his colleagues, after which three-day mourning announced in the country.
According to details by international media, Libyan Army Chief Muhammad Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad’s plane crashed in Turkey, resulting in the death of the army chief, which was also confirmed by the Prime Minister.
The Libyan Army Chief of Staff, Director of Military Industries, Advisor to the Chief of Staff and photographer were also killed in the accident. The wreckage of the plane was found several hours later.
According to Turkish media, the plane attempted to land shortly after taking off from Ankara Airport, after which contact could not be made. The plane departed from Ankara Esenboga Airport for Tripoli at 8:10 PM and made a distress call at 8:52 PM, after which contact was lost.
Several hours later, the wreckage of the Dassault Falcon 50 type plane was found in the Himana district of Ankara. The Libyan Prime Minister said that the Libyan army chief was returning from Ankara to Tripoli after an official visit to Turkey when his plane crashed.

The Libyan Prime Minister described the incident as a great loss, established an emergency committee to investigate and declared three days of official mourning.
