Islamabad (Pakistan News Online) A major change is likely to be happen in the scheme related to import of used vehicles, a proposal is under consideration to abolish the personal baggage scheme and tighten gift and transfer of residence.
According to private TV channel Hum News, the government has started considering changes in the scheme related to import of used vehicles, and there is a possibility of tightening the remaining two schemes.
In this regard, the Ministry of Commerce has prepared a summary and sent it to the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet, in which it has been suggested that the personal baggage scheme be abolished.
In addition, it has been proposed to tighten the other two schemes, the Transfer of Residence Scheme and the Gift Scheme, and the ministry has recommended taking steps to prevent misuse of these schemes.
The Economic Coordination Committee will take the final decision regarding changes in the scheme related to import of used vehicles.
